Improved Water and Wastewater Services Programme Technical Assistant Component for the HCWW Affiliated Companies
One of our clients has been entrusted with a water related project were they are seeking a resident Chief of Party (COP) for the duration of the project. The Contractor shall delegate adequate authority to the COP to make all implementation decisions in the field. The COP shall be responsible for all reporting to the Steering Committee, HCWW, the EDPs and other organizations. He is expected to play a lead role interacting with senior HCWW officials, water utility officials, donors, and other key water and wastewater sector stakeholders.
Qualifications and skills:
University degree in engineering, economics or related subjects
Negotiation and moderation skills
Computer skills (MS office software)
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
Fluent in English, Arabic language skills would be an advantage
General professional experience:
A minimum of 15 years experience with water and sewerage utility reforms or institutional strengthening programs
Demonstrated expertise in institutional strengthening programs; utility corporatisation and performance-based contracts for water utilities
A minimum of 8 years experience as a COP or Project Director for projects with similar magnitude and complexity in developing countries
Institutional development and change management preferably in the water and waste water sector
Regional experience in Egypt, North Africa or the Middle East is an advantage
