We are currently working with a client who is looking for a particular candidate to join their team in Doha on a Water project. They are seeking an experienced Project Manager to supervise the Operations and Maintenance Contract about to commence on a recently extended Sewage Treatment Plant in the Gulf Region.

 

Candidates must have:

Minimum of Bachelors Degree in Chemical or Civil ( Water and Wastewater) Engineering

Membership of an accredited professional institution such as CIWEM

20 years experience in O&M of major sewage treatment plants

Knowledge of and experience in treatment plants using membrane or ultra filtration technology for effluent treatment.

In addition candidates should have significant working knowledge of international contracts, preferably O&M contracts.

Responsibilities in this role will include:

Monitoring and managing all contractual matters

Carrying out audits

Transferring knowledge to client’s staff

Reviewing and monitoring Contractor’s planned maintenance work

Reviewing emergency procedures

Keeping records of all activities

Liaising with the client’s representatives.

The successful candidate will join our existing team of international and local staff already working on the commissioning of the Sewage Treatment Plant Extensions and will continue to be present during the Defects Liability Period.

The position Will be for a duration of up to 3 years and a possible permanent placement after project is complete.
