										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>One of our clients has recently been awarded a high profile project in the Ukraine of which they are currently looking for a perticular candidate to fill the position of Team Leader. Here are the following requirements for the position:</p>
<p><strong>Qualifications and skills</strong><strong> </strong></p>
<p>University degree in Disaster Management, Environmental Science, Social Sciences, Agriculture, Ecology, Environmental Law, Development, Geology, Geography, Economics, Engineering, Urban Planning or equivalent. Master degree will be an asset</p>
<p>Excellent knowledge of multi-disciplinary development approaches</p>
<p>Ability to negotiate with counterpart government officials and with other stakeholders</p>
<p>Ability to plan and work independently and without supervision</p>
<p>Excellent skills in technical writing</p>
<p>Excellent management and interpersonal skills</p>
<p>Knowledge of the EU Civil Protection Mechanisms an important asset</p>
<p>Proficiency in both English and Russian is required. Ability to speak and understand one of the local languages would be an asset</p>
<p><strong>General professional experience</strong><strong></strong></p>
<p>Demonstrated team leader experience</p>
<p>Knowledge of the EU policy developments and EU civil protection tools as well as of international frameworks and practice in disaster preparedness and disaster management is required</p>
<p>Proven experience of working in multicultural environments</p>
<p><strong>Specific professional experience</strong><strong></strong></p>
<p>A minimum of 10 years in management in disaster preparedness</p>
<p>A minimum of five years experience in contingency planning, civil protection, disaster preparedness or similar fields in the ENPI East region</p>
<p>Experience in providing disaster preparedness training is required</p>
<p>Experience on working with the EU Civil Protection Mechanism is a clear advantage</p>
<p>The project will last approximately 880 working days</p>
