										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>On of our UK consultancies is looking for an experienced Engineer for a position in the South West of the UK.</p>
<p>A Product Engineering Specialist is required to create the product engineering function -be the first such expert in the company and assist in recruitment of additional engineers and creation of the product engineering infrastructure &#8211; systems, methods etc.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">The Product Engineering Specialist will be responsible for</span></p>
<p>Performing all product engineering activities on the first four families of products. This comprises all aspects of the new product introduction engineering tasks and subsequently product sustaining tasks for these parts &#8211; vendor assessment for test and</p>
<p>assembly, probe yield and final test yield analysis, cost reduction, liaison with designers and device engineers.</p>
<p>Working with Operations and R &amp; D to ensure that a robust new product introduction methodology is put in place for the first and all future products. Creation of the product engineering function.</p>
<p>Liaising on product introduction and manufacturing issues with engineers within company and within subcontractors around the world.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Main Tasks/ Responsibilities</span></p>
<p>New product introduction</p>
<p>Involvement in the creation of the company new product introduction process</p>
<p>Product yield improvement and cost reduction activities</p>
<p>Product characterisation</p>
<p>Analyses of customer return devices, resolution of manufacturing issues, and initiation of corrective actions</p>
<p>Provide mentoring and training to sales, sub contractor production and engineering staff to enable the support of products in volume manufacture at suppliers and customers</p>
<p>Provide input into recruitment and management of senior product engineers</p>
<p>Participation in and ownership of key tasks in new product project teams</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Person Specification </span></p>
<p><strong>Required skills include:</strong></p>
<p>Experience on Teradyne ATE equipment preferably at both the programming and debug levels.</p>
<p>Proven experience in the testing of mixed signal 1C products.</p>
<p>Familiarity with statistical analysis techniques used in problem solving and manufacturing performance assessment</p>
<p>Knowledge of semiconductor failure analysis techniques</p>
<p>Test hardware debug and good all round electronic engineering skills.</p>
<p><strong>The candidate must:</strong></p>
<p>Be able to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers and the workforce at all levels.</p>
<p>Possess good organisational, analytical and inter-personal skills.</p>
<p>Contribute effectively to team performance</p>
<p>Be self-motivated, working to achieve given objectives, but also capable of reacting positively to requests for support. Be quality oriented.</p>
<p>Have strong project management skills.</p>
<p>Be prepared to undertake travel to other company sites and customer/ supplier sites around the world.</p>

<p>Working as part of the Facilities team, the successful candidate will be part of a multi disciplined team, working on site efficiency projects and operational improvement schemes with the capability to diagnose and repair manufacturing Engineering plant. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, this is a permanent vacancy in Plymouth area.</p>
<p><strong>Main Tasks/ Responsibilities</strong></p>
<p>Responsible for the development and implementation of site improvement programs</p>
<p>Working on energy efficiency projects for any of the site facilities systems</p>
<p>To undertake all site improvement schemes within a prescribed time scale and within budget</p>
<p>Assisting the Facilities Shift Engineering team as required in the daily issues to maintain services for the facility</p>
<p>Overseeing the quality management of work to completion whilst minimising interruptions to the manufacturing facility</p>
<p>Ensuring that Health, Safety and Environmental procedures are followed</p>
<p>To be a member of the Emergency Response Team, liaising with emergency services when required</p>
<p><strong>Person Specification</strong></p>
<p>Must have a degree/ HND level in Electrical Engineering and/or equivalent experience in building services or a technical field</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Experience in a selection of the following is required:</span></p>
<p>Project Engineering &#8211; developing and planning the manufacturing resources to encourage continuous improvement and cost efficiency of the facilities equipment or systems through to completion</p>
<p>Relevant experience with mechanical and electrical systems</p>
<p>Familiar with technical drawing a packages and the ability to interpret technical and engineering drawings (Desirable)</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Knowledge of:</span> &#8211; High purity gas and water systems, HVAC systems, Pipe work installations, Chemical distribution, Extract systems, Water treatment systems, Pumps,</p>
<p>Motors, Compressors, Electrical distribution</p>
<p>Excellent team working and communication skills</p>
<p>Must have a logical approach to problem solving with the capability of muli-tasking</p>
<p>Ability to work on own initiative and self motivated</p>
<p>Ability to be a member of the Emergency Response Team</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>On of our UK consultancies is looking for an experienced Engineer for a position in the South West of the UK.</p>
<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p>
<p>Taking technical responsibility for atmospheric oxidation furnaces, polysilicon deposition, silicon nitride deposition furnaces, pre-diffusion cleans and other wet processing operations. The main tool types that they will need experience in are Semi tool and Aviza furnaces, as well as FSI and CFM cleaning tools).</p>
<p>Develop and optimize cleaning and diffusion recipes for CMOS and bipolar process flows</p>
<p>Manage process changes through the process of risk analysis, FMEA and change control reviews and comprehensive technical reporting and documentation</p>
<p>Lead teams in problem solving activities using a range of problem solving tools within the 8 step problem solving process</p>
<p>Monitor and improve tool and module performance through effective data analysis and the application of SPC and conformance reporting</p>
<p>Improve defect density in the diffusion and wafer cleaning operations</p>
<p><strong>Experience Required</strong></p>
<p>Minimum 4 years equipment / process engineering experience in semiconductors industry with a demonstrable record of success</p>
<p>Experience running problem or task oriented teams in process area / owned toolset Demonstrated technical competence achieving sustained equipment performance</p>
<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>
<p>Application should hold a degree / HND or equivalent qualification and / or have experience in a technical field.</p>
<p><strong>Other Information</strong></p>
<p>The position is based in Plymouth area. The successful applicant will report to the Frontend and Films Process Team Leader.</p>
<p>This position requires working a shift pattern, including working 1 weekend in 3 (Sam -5pm).</p>
<p>The salary banding for this position is approx £28 &#8211; £30k dependent on experience, plus a 13% shift premium.</p>
