On of our UK consultancies is looking for an experienced Engineer for a position in the South West of the UK.
Working as part of the Facilities team, the successful candidate will be part of a multi disciplined team, working on site efficiency projects and operational improvement schemes with the capability to diagnose and repair manufacturing Engineering plant. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, this is a permanent vacancy in Plymouth area.
Main Tasks/ Responsibilities
Responsible for the development and implementation of site improvement programs
Working on energy efficiency projects for any of the site facilities systems
To undertake all site improvement schemes within a prescribed time scale and within budget
Assisting the Facilities Shift Engineering team as required in the daily issues to maintain services for the facility
Overseeing the quality management of work to completion whilst minimising interruptions to the manufacturing facility
Ensuring that Health, Safety and Environmental procedures are followed
To be a member of the Emergency Response Team, liaising with emergency services when required
Person Specification
Must have a degree/ HND level in Electrical Engineering and/or equivalent experience in building services or a technical field
Experience in a selection of the following is required:
Project Engineering – developing and planning the manufacturing resources to encourage continuous improvement and cost efficiency of the facilities equipment or systems through to completion
Relevant experience with mechanical and electrical systems
Familiar with technical drawing a packages and the ability to interpret technical and engineering drawings (Desirable)
Knowledge of: – High purity gas and water systems, HVAC systems, Pipe work installations, Chemical distribution, Extract systems, Water treatment systems, Pumps,
Motors, Compressors, Electrical distribution
Excellent team working and communication skills
Must have a logical approach to problem solving with the capability of muli-tasking
Ability to work on own initiative and self motivated
Ability to be a member of the Emergency Response Team
Ability to work within prescribed time scales and within specified budgets
Ability to work within a clean room environment
Experience in a selection of the following is required:
