We are currently working with a client who has won a master plan project relating to water and wastewater systems in Libya. They are currently seeking for the following professional:
Brief Project Summary:
To provide and manage the provision of superior quality Engineering Assessment &
Mechanical Engineering Design services to allow the company to fulfil its responsibilities in the
production of a regional Master Plan for the rehabilitation, repair and/or replacement of water
and wastewater systems.
In order to ensure the above the individual must co-ordinate the design and production of
mechanical design documents and drawings taking due account of health and safety
requirements, specifications and standards pertaining to the Master Plan development project
and the preparation of tender documentation.
Person Specification:
Knowledge/Experience
Have a high level of competence in the principles of water and sewage treatment
Have a detailed knowledge of designing mechanical aspects of water and sewage
treatment plants
5 years experience of water industry
Mechanical design experience in a contracting environment
Minimum 5 years experience of the following:
Managing teams in complex mechanical design projects
Serving clients in complex project delivery environment
Education/Qualifications
Mechanical Engineering Degree
Chartered Member of a Senior Engineering Institute, such as IMechE – desirable
Skills
Good interpersonal skills
Ability to rationalise designs and produce economic plant layouts
General knowledge of all aspects of water treatment, e.g. civil engineering, process engineering, electrical engineering and project management
Ability to understand technical proposals
