Hydroelectric Development Expert

We are currently working with a French consultancy who are after a particular expert to fill the above position. Here is some information on the position:

 

Project Description:
Our client, Master provides partial implementation and technical assistance to the Government of Cameroon for the construction of the hydroelectric Memve’ele. The proposed development will consist of an embankment dam 1800 m long, a gated spillway of 5700 m3 / s and a passive spillway flood of 500 m3 / s, a channel for supplying water to factory 3000 m long pass to 450 m3 / s and a 211 MW plant with 4 production units. The development is located in the extreme south of Cameroon and will be connected to the Interconnected Network Southern Cameroon.

Description of the mission:
As part of the mission of Project management and Technical Assistance to the Owner, the expert in hydropower development will have the following tasks in conjunction with the environmental expert:

– Coordination of the various studies conducted by the Client and other stakeholders of the project (coordination, monitoring, validation work for the city of Owner, lines and positions, coordinating studies of operating and maintenance costs )
– Coordination and preparation of all documents necessary for decision making Client: for each topic to be the subject of a decision analysis solutions, technical evaluation, legal, contractual and development report for the Master of ‘Work a decision.
– Analysis of cal concerning the construction contract business (related to power purchase agreement) risks relating to the flow of energy on the grid
– Support to the validation of the selling price of energy and mounting the management company of the development.

Climate / health:
The project is located in the equatorial zone in zone 3 of malaria.

Housing / other:
Housing and a car and driver will be available to the incumbent.

Rotation:
5 working days per week with 30 days of annual leave.
The residence is planned for a period of two years.
A trip back in the country in economy class is scheduled every 4 months.
